Tim Cole is considered one of the most experienced
Internet and biztech publicists in Germany.
A native of the U.S.,
his articles, commentaries and columns have appeared in some of the most
prestigious German business magazines ("Capital"), newspapers ("Sueddeutsche
Zeitung"), "Die Welt"), and computer magazines ("ComputerBILD", "Chip"). He has
anchored television shows such as "eTalk" for n-tv (a CNN subsidiary) and
N24.
From 1998 through 2000 he was editor-in-chief of the Internet
business magazine "NET-Investor". As an author of widely-read books ("Success
Factor Internet", "The Customer Cartel"), as a consultant and speaker at
numerous seminars, road shows and customer events, he carries on an intense
dialogue with leaders in business, politics and finance.
From 2002 to
2004 he was a META Group Fellow, where he had direct access to one of the
world’s leading networks of analysts on questions of eBusiness and technology.
In 2004 he co-founded Kuppinger Cole + Partner, an analyst group focusing on
Identity Access Management and Digital ID.
He remains a popular
public speaker on a wide range of topics dealing with the impact of technology
in such fields as the finance industry, government, commerce. mobility, eHealth,
privacy issues, IT security, online banking and customer
services.
Tim Cole is an American citizen, born 1950, who has lived in
Germany off and on since 1961. In 1985 he married a charming girl from the
Austrian town of Soelden high in the Tyrolean Alps, possibly the world's best
skiing area. They have a daughter who recently began a career in the
international hotel profession.
